Nous En Tous Ensemble….

nous en tous 010Sometimes there are just no words……

Marianne

But Marianne is strong. We will all help her and France to get through this horrific act.

Fuck it. I wasn’t going to add anything else–but you know what?  We all need to gather our GREAT memories of Paris so I’m adding a post from this past summer.  We need to be positive………The Return to Paris

About Catherine

Far from perfect, but enjoying life as a non-perfect and flawed individual at 60 years young. I'm still wondering what I'll be when I grow up! The characters in my life's screenplay include my better half. He is a refined Frenchman who grew up in Paris and summered in St. Tropez. I grew up in Long Island and summered in Long Island. I am not refined. My three grown children are also a big part of my life. For their sake, they happily live where their careers have taken them! But I can still mother them from a distance! I write about the mundane. I write about deeply shallow issues. But whatever I write or muse about--it'll always be a bit on the humorous and positive side! It's all good!

Thanks for reposting this. I enjoyed reading it all over again and really feel like I’ve been there…again. After these new events, I may re-read your post again in a few months to feel like I’ve been there…again…arm-chair style.

    • Catherine says:

HI Leslie. Thanks. I’m glad you enjoyed the repost. At this point, we need to read the positive. I’ll tell you, I was all set to write a long post today about ending my temp position and the coming holidays but this event of last night just cast such a dark shadow in our home. Bonaparte is so upset–and we are all grieving for the victims and for all of Paris………I think tonight we will watch a French comedy just to lift our spirits! XOXOXOXO!!!!

One of our online buddies on here is from France. I was concerned for his safety last night, but have heard from him this morning. Turns out he doesn’t actually live in Paris. What a relief. And yet what a nightmare… Sigh…

    • Catherine says:

It’s awful. We’ve been in touch with Bonaparte’s family and everyone is safe. Thank God! I’m still at a loss for words–and that doesn’t happen too much. The world is sad today…..

      • calensariel says:

Am so glad to hear that they are well. Can NOT imagine the shock they are dealing with today. It’s becoming more and more obvious that these perpetrators have no respect for life whatsoever. What must we do to end these nightmares?

Yes, I stand with you ‘We will all help her and France to get through this horrific act.’ Thoughts and prayers with you and France!

You were one of the first people I thought of when I heard the news, knowing you were only in the country a couple of weeks ago and obviously Bonaparte’s connections. Glad to hear his family are safe. It’s just horrendous. Humans can be vile, evil creatures. We just need to remember there are more beautiful, compassionate people out there that make the world a better place.

    • Catherine says:

Thank you Haylee. We are still in a state of shock and are just numbed by this event. I cannot imagine what the many victims’ families are going through right now. And you are right there ARE beautiful people out there who make the world a better place–that’s what we all need to focus on! XOXOXO!

So shocked and saddened. I have sons who go out to concerts and bars on a Friday night. I cannot begin to imagine what their families must be going through. Thank you for your post. I feel the need to write a post on my own blog but can’t find the words…but my heart bleeds for Paris and France. xx
