My Time Management Sucks

Quite honestly, the title says it all.  It isn’t the time management at work that sucks either. On the contrary—I have my workday down to a science.  And my important stuff is always completed by the end of the day.  And I do my prep work for the next day so that I’m entering my cubicle in relaxing ease.

And every weekday I arise at exactly 6:00 AM and am dressed and ready to go at precisely 7:30 AM.

It’s when I get home that everything goes to $hit. It seems like there are not enough hours in the evening!  When I wasn’t working, it was very easy to sit down at the computer and write the blog posts—it was my job! But without pay and benefits!

Ummmm.  I do believe that there is no such thing as quittin’ time. We’re always busy!!!

So, I’m asking you to be a bit patient with me as I get myself a bit organized and fit a regular schedule of blog posts into my now working life.

That being said, last week was such a vile weather one.  The sun shone one day. The other four days brought about Mother Nature’s reminder that it is still Winter.  On Wednesday, it snowed so badly that most of the companies called a snow day—and since a great number of employees in the company I work for can do their work from home, I was the only one at the office.  And I loved every moment of it.  Got a lot done.

It’s also that time of year when everyone is becoming increasingly tired of the seasonal clothing and they want to get into some spring attire.  Not me boy.  I gained so much weight that two pair of my winter pants don’t fit me anymore. I’m so ashamed.  I really have to get on the good foot to drop some serious weight by the summer.

So even though the winter doldrums may have set in, I’m still enjoying the sweaters and heavier clothing.  Here’s a look at what I wore last week.

Last Monday, I opted for a gray dress to go with the gray sky.  I wore black tights and boots with it.  It was a very gray day!

On Tuesday, I brought out a bit of brightness with these neon corduroy pants and a navy tunic sweater. Very comfy.

Snow Day!  I wore this outfit for the snow.  The boots, by Unisa cost $40 three years ago and lasted better than those Tory Burch boots!!!  And in the snow no less!

Thursday was another snowy day with the same pants and boots as the day before. Hey. Nobody saw me because I was the only one at work!  I wore a cute ski-themed sweater by J. Crew!

Jeans Friday!!!!  Jeans with a plaid Lady Jacket, a black sweater and pearls. A fun Friday look!

On Saturday I wore my favorite Tee with a navy blazer and cuffed jeans.  Oh. And I wore loafers too!

Saturday, Bonaparte and I took a trip to the outlets in Limerick. He needed socks—he purchases his socks only at J. Crew or J. Crew Factory.   A big sale was going on and I picked up these cute printed skimmer pants, a Teddi sweater and a really cute striped tee for the upcoming warmer weather!

The bright green Teddi Sweater is a great match for the printed Skimmer pants I got..

….but this Tee!!!!  Pink Flamingo!!!!!!! I can’t wait to wear this!!!

Hey. Are you familiar with Tati Westbrook?  Her YouTube channel, GlamLifeGuru is one of my favorites.  She reviews tons of makeup and she’s quite fond of the drug store items.

Tati Westbrook–her YouTube reviews are always great and informative and detailed!!!

She recently reviewed this new foundation from L.A. Girl cosmetics.  She highly recommended it for the value and the way it wore.  She paid ten bucks for it.

For the price, this foundation is decent!

Naturally, I had to try it and found it at Ulta for $8.99!  Tati made note to purchase a shade lighter than how the foundation appeared in the  bottle.  I went with the shade “Fair”.

A little pump of this goes a long, long way. A long way!  It looked a bit yellow when I pumped it onto my hand (as a palette), I added a drop of Argan oil and applied it.

The foundation appeared yellow on my hand but it may have also been the lighting.  This is ONE pumpful!!  A small amount really goes a long way with this!

This isn’t a bad foundation.  I wouldn’t call it full-coverage but it works fine if you want a buildable or medium coverage base.  I love the pump because you get just enough!

I applied with a dampened beauty blending sponge and had no complaints.

I went very light with this yesterday morning.  It’s got a nice finish but it isn’t full coverage..

The foundation lasted all day.  Nothing faded. Nothing wore off.

I built it up slightly today for a bit more coverage and I liked it better…

In fact, when I arrived home today, I had hair mail waiting for me.  Estetica Design’s “Violet” wig. She’s a cut short wavy bob—perfect for summer and the Caramel Kiss color is great!  It’ll look awesome with my fake tan!

Here’s the wig and the foundation!  If you just happen to be at Ulta or any drug-store that sells L.A. Girl, you might want to try this foundation out.  It did NOT dry my skin, it didn’t cake up, it remained nice all day!

These photos were taken at around six this evening.  The only thing I did was add a bit of lip balm. The foundation looks really, really good!  Ten bucks–you can’t beat that!  But the wig!!  What do you think?  I love it!  Violet is a winner!!!

Enjoy your evening!  I’ve got a few more cosmetics I want to share with you in my next blog post!!!! And thank you for your patience with me!!

Given my horrible time management in my personal life, I just had to share this oldie but greatie!  Time Has Come Today, by the Chambers Brothers. IMPO, one of the best rock songs ever!
