Wythe Hotel, Brooklyn, NY  Best Hotel in the New York City area!!! Best view of Manhattan. Best Bar ever on the Sixth Floor. Best of everything!!!!

Momofuku Milk Bar   The best and most fun bakery of all time.  Lots of unusual but fantastic desserts to put a smile on everyone’s face!

http://frenchentree.com   All things French. If you are thinking of a trip to France, start reading—so many helpful articles!  An added bonus–you’ll see me listed as a community contributor and can read about my (mis)adventures in France!

http://badmanyells.com  A fantastic rock group based in NYC.  Kinda countryish rock–just perfect for rockin’ out at home, or listen to their new EP, The Tin Can, in the car, or anytime!!  My son Roman is one of this great band’s members.

Have a listen: The Tin Can EP  Roman happens to sing lead on “Ask Yourself”–a fun and upbeat song. Bad Man Yells always makes me happy!

Rebecca Jacob A local artist from Philly’s Main Line–and a great friend of mine. Becky’s paintings are modern and colorful. Have a look and enjoy her talent!

J. Crew!  My favorite store for clothing. Well, presently it isn’t my favorite store but I still shop there.

Rondini  Those great Tropezienne sandals I’m in love with? Here’s the site! Remember, you can have them custom made and they are beautiful and last forever!

Nat & Nin   THE most buttery soft bags of all time.  I make sure to add to my collection each time I’m in Paris (ugh. that sounds so snotty–but it’s true. I save $$ by staying with Bonaparte’s family –but seriously, the bags are far less expensive than those designer bags that everyone else is carrying. Carry a Nat & Nin bag and you will a part of a very unique group of stylish women and men!

Repetto  My one and only ballet flats. They are like Lays Potato Chips. You just cannot have one (Pair)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Longchamp:  Best bags ever (along with Nat & Nin).  Longchamp leather bags are far superior to many of the “name” brands out there.  I know–the Le Pliage nylon bags are incredibly popular–and it’s for a reason. Those bags hold a ton of stuff and are great for travel. But–the leather bags. Oh–they never wear out. I can’t say enough about them. When I worked in Retail Hell, the one brand I ALWAYS recommended was Longchamp.  I’m full of love for this brand!

  4. Hi Catherine! It’s so nice to meet you. My grandpa used to tell people that we live 1500 miles south of NYC. It was a little unincorporated community called Jachin, and 99.9% of Alabamians have never even heard of it, although it’s on the Alabama state map.

I dearly want to visit NYC, even though travel is a little un-nerving right now with all the pipe bombs and what-have-you going off. But I’m sure it’s rare.

    Keep up the good work!

Hi Stephanie! It’s great to meet you as well! Ahh..NYC is still safe. My motto is that at any given time, any lunatic with a gun can start bang-bang at a mall, or a bank or a street corner….Our world is a different one these days but we cannot allow fear to stop us from enjoying travel and life!! XOXOXOXO!!!
